Leper community
The Leper community is one of our newest branches of ministry. There are over 120,000 new cases of Leprosy diagnosed in India every year. Leper communities are some of the most neglected in India. Leprosy is a disease that is crippling not only physically, but socially as well. Those living with Leprosy quickly become social outcasts. Just months ago these men and women were begging on the streets. We are so thankful to have been able to take them in and provide food and shelter for them. There are twenty Leper men and women in the community that we care for. Even in the midst of their terrible circumstance and disease they are so joyful and full of life. They are truly an inspirational group of people.
