Streams June 2020 UPdate

FROM THE DESK OF DEBORAH COFER:

 In India the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown means no food or work for the rural poor.  The lockdown has been a nightmare for millions and many people are starving. Many hard working people can only sit in their homes and watch their children starve as they are not allowed to work due to the pandemic lockdown.  

The pastors connected to our ministry, the church families, remote villages, and the leprous people’s community have all been devastated by the lockdown.  The lockdown has been strictly enforced since March and no one is allowed to work, with strict curfews in place.  If you break the curfew you will be arrested. 

The deadly virus has taken a horrible toll and the ramifications of the lockdown have caused many to starve.  

Our ministry has been taking food to the starving. The Christian pastors and their families are receiving food and supplies as well as the congregations, villages, and the leprous people.  We have been feeding the multitudes, including starving homeless people on the streets.  

The children in our Hope Home have been learning English during the lockdown.
